This site is intended to be a catch all for various projects I am involved with. It was also a great excuse to learn yet another web development framework and to re-acquaint myself with PHP. I've come to two conclusions. PHP is a much more nasty and ugly language than I remember, yet I quite like Zend Framework.

Zend doesn't force you too much into it's conventions, and has no predetermined model architecture. While Zend contains a full MVC application skeleton, it's a modular series of classes and libraries. One of my motivations for learning it was that I am finding it's starting to be used in older projects with another framework's application architecture. Zend has a higher learning curve overhead, with the reward of an extensible and flexible framework. It almost makes up for my dislike of PHP as a language.

This site has been a long time coming. But, I suppose the cobbler is the last to get a pair of shoes.
